Started my career in dentistry in 2004 as a dental nurse.
I graduated from Sheffield University in 2013 as a hygiene therapist achieving the highest result ever recorded by any student on the course before, passing with a distinction and awarded the best overall academic performance prize.
Since qualifying I have worked in many positions’ gaining a wide range of experience in both NHS and private practice and joining the Sandygate team in 2019.

All aspects of my role are enjoyable, in particular I enjoy interacting with patients as they progress through their treatment programs and helping them with improvements in their oral health. Educating, treating and supporting patients is extremely rewarding to me especially when a new nervous patient attends who hasn't seen a dentist in a long time. I work at their pace helping and encouraging them to overcome their fears and get their completed and helping them to smile again.
I have been told I am friendly, caring and an approachable member of the Sandygate team. There is no such thing as a silly question and patients feel they can ask me anything.
Outside work, I am kept busy with my 3 year old son and I like to keep active by walking, cycling and climbing.
